Minnesota has been home my entire life. As a child I grew up near Como Lake and still vividly remember many walks to the Como Zoo. My family moved to Shoreview when I was in 4th grade and I graduated from Mounds View High School. It was during my senior season in football that I was exposed to Chiropractic. I suffered a concussion during a game and vaguely remember the remainder of the game. As I was being assessed by the Athletic Trainer at the end of the game, I was approached by our quarterback’s dad who happened to be a chiropractor. He suggested that I come in the following morning to see if he could help. After a couple of adjustments, I was ready to play by the next game. This made an impression on me that I didn’t fully appreciate until a few years later.
I attended UW-Eau Claire for undergrad and earned my degree in Biology, minoring in Chemistry. When I entered UW-Eau Claire, my focus was on animal sciences with the desire to work for the DNR. However, soon into my classes I realized that my passion was in the human sciences. This led me on a journey of investigating the health sciences. To make a long story short, Chiropractic was the very LAST profession I explored. I was fascinated by its natural approach to health and its philosophy resonated with me.
While attending Palmer Chiropractic College I was introduced to NUCCA (an acronym for National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) during my first trimester by a classmate. He shared an incredible story of how his life was impacted by NUCCA. It caught my attention; however, I was overwhelmed by the load of classes and studies. It wasn’t until I came to a crossroads about half way through school (whether to continue or quit), that I was compelled to look deeper into NUCCA. I decided to take a road trip from Iowa to Tulsa, Oklahoma to visit the chiropractor of my classmate. The adjustment was life changing and reinvigorated my passion to serve people through the power of Chiropractic!
Living Well Chiropractic opened in June of 2006 and has steadily grown every year. It is a privilege and an absolute pleasure working with people from all corners of the state and beyond. It is an honor delivering the power of NUCCA and helping people experience the quality of health they often felt eluded them.
I feel blessed to have married my best friend, Jasmine, and share in the parenting experience of raising 4 toeheads. When time allows I enjoy mountain biking, spending time on the lake, snowmobiling and goofing around with my kids!
Be Blessed and Be Balanced,
